The test result
Ask the technician what the battery and charging checks showed. It is the reason for the work, and useful if a problem returns.

Check the battery · Confirm the price · Fit and test
A conventional Amaron unit must not replace a required AGM or EFB without approval for the vehicle. We establish compatibility before discussing price.
Capacity, starting current, casing size and terminal position must suit the car. AGM, EFB and conventional batteries are not interchangeable simply because they fit in the tray.
If your situation is different, tell us what happened when you last tried to start the car.
Our Amaron listing covers: Calcium-alloy starter batteries. If your car has start-stop it needs an EFB or AGM battery, so tell us when you enquire; we confirm whether a suitable Amaron unit is in stock or suggest another brand that is.
Amaron is among the brands we check first for Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Lexus, Hyundai, KIA, Honda, Mitsubishi. Fit always depends on the model, year and engine.
Most battery work can be done where the car is parked. Some faults cannot. This is how the two compare.
| Compare | Mobile visit at your car | Taking the car to a workshop |
|---|---|---|
| Getting the car there | Not needed. The technician comes to the bay, subject to building access. | Needs a car that starts, or a recovery truck. |
| Work it suits | Battery testing, jump-start, replacement and battery registration where the car supports it. | Alternator or starter repair, wiring faults and anything that needs a lift. |
| Price | The fitted price is confirmed before a technician is sent. | Ask for a figure before the car is moved, and again after inspection. |
| Your time | You stay at your desk or at home. The arrival estimate is confirmed for your request. | Travel, waiting and the return trip. |
| If it is not the battery | We tell you what the test shows and discuss recovery or a workshop booking. | Diagnosis continues on site. |
Four things worth having before the technician leaves.
Ask the technician what the battery and charging checks showed. It is the reason for the work, and useful if a problem returns.
It records the battery supplied, the date and the price you agreed before dispatch. Keep it with the car's service papers.
Warranty runs up to 24 months depending on the battery supplied. Ask for the duration and conditions that apply to your exact unit.
Confirm when booking that the old battery will be collected. A used lead-acid battery should not be left in a car park or put in general waste.
Your car model, parking level and a location pin help us bring the right equipment. We confirm the price and arrival estimate before dispatch.
